Job Description

NAPA is seeking a skilled and motivated Technician to join our team at our highly automated Cambridge distribution facility. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous operation of our automated warehouse systems, which support high-volume distribution activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining advanced material handling equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. If you are a hands-on professional with a strong background in automation and a passion for operational excellence, this is an opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Salary Range: $70,100 – $87,600 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on automated warehouse systems to ensure reliability and uptime.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage maintenance activities and maintain appropriate spare parts inventory levels.
  • Accurately document all maintenance tasks and system updates within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to operations, with a strong focus on “right first time” resolution.
  • Participate in operational meetings and provide emergency maintenance support as required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues, escalating internally when necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to sustain and enhance overall system efficiency and performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with quality standards and response-time objectives.

Qualifications

To join our team, you need:

  • Technical diploma (or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, including sensors, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proven experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance and commissioning of mechatronic systems.
  • Proficiency with CMMS platforms and understanding of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) principles.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
