We are seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Software Developer to join the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement in Toronto, ON. This onsite opportunity is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in Java, Angular, Oracle, JavaScript, TypeScript, Spring Framework, and enterprise web application development.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of Java development experience, strong expertise in modern front-end technologies, responsive web applications, Oracle databases, accessibility compliance (AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA), and enterprise application development within large-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Front-End Application Development (40%)

• Design, develop, and implement modern, responsive front-end applications using Angular and enterprise Java technologies.

• Build intuitive, user-friendly interfaces with a strong focus on usability and accessibility.

• Develop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code following enterprise development standards.

• Translate business and technical requirements into robust software solutions.

• Application Development & Integration (30%)

• Develop, enhance, maintain, and support enterprise applications using Java and Spring Framework.

• Create detailed programming specifications and perform coding, testing, debugging, and implementation activities.

• Build and integrate RESTful services and database-driven applications.

• Participate in application migrations, deployments, and production support.

• Database & Enterprise Solutions (15%)

• Design and develop Oracle database objects including:

• Tables

• Views

• Stored Procedures

• Functions

• Sequences

• Triggers

• Optimize SQL queries and ensure application performance.

• Quality Assurance & Collaboration (15%)

• Perform unit testing and troubleshoot production issues.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, architects, and QA teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Produce technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.

• Ensure compliance with accessibility and enterprise development standards.
