Simultaneously, Finance is implementing multiple initiatives to enhance capabilities in response to evolving business demands and complex transactions.We are seeking a high-performing Senior Finance Systems Analyst to join our Global Finance Transformation team during a period of significant change.This is a senior, hands-on role requiring strong technical accounting expertise combined with transformation delivery capability. You will work closely with Finance, Technology, and global stakeholders to design, test, and implement system and process improvements, while ensuring the integrity of financial reporting throughout.This role represents a compelling opportunity to join the finance team during a dynamic period of transformation. As a senior financial accountant, you will play a critical role in documenting, testing, and delivering on the finance project objectives.This role is on-site 4 days per week and work from home 1 day per week in Toronto, ON.Main DutiesEnhancement Projects & Change ImplementationLead end-to-end delivery of finance transformation initiatives, including planning, execution, documentation, and stakeholder communicationDesign and execute system testing (UAT), including development of test scripts, validation of outputs, and documentation of resultsRebuild and validate financial reports under new systems to ensure accuracy and completenessIdentify opportunities to standardize and streamline finance processes across global teamsCollaborate with external implementation partners and internal Technology teams to deliver scalable solutionsDevelop clear, structured documentation including business requirements, process flows, and solution designsStakeholder Engagement & Change ManagementProactively engage with global stakeholders across Finance, Technology and the overall back officeBuild strong working relationships with Subject Matter Experts to support successful deliveryAct as a bridge between Finance and Technology, translating business requirements into system solutionsCommunicate project status, risks, and decisions effectively to senior stakeholdersSupport training and adoption of new systems and processes across the Finance communityContribute to a structured and disciplined change management approach across transformation initiativesFinance Systems Ownership & Change ControlAct as a key Finance representative in the governance, design, and ongoing evolution of finance systemsPartner closely with Technology teams to deliver system enhancements, upgrades, and issue resolutionSupport and influence change control processes to ensure alignment with accounting and reporting requirementsEvaluate the financial and operational impact of system changes, ensuring appropriate controls and auditabilityTroubleshoot system and data issues, coordinating resolution across Finance and Technology teamsProvide subject matter expertise on financial reporting implications across system changes and transformation initiativesData Oversight & MaintenanceOwn and maintain finance system data structures, including mappings, hierarchies, and reporting dimensionsEnsure data integrity and consistency across multiple entities, accounting bases (IFRS, US GAAP, Tax), and reporting environmentsAnalyze large, complex financial data sets to identify inconsistencies, risks, and opportunities for improvementOversee data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance throughout transformation activitiesCollaborate with Technology and data teams to improve data architecture, governance, and controlsSupport the creation and validation of reporting outputs, including management reporting and financial disclosuresFinancial Analysis & Reporting SupportPrepare and analyze financial information associated with transformation activities, including journal entries and opening balance sheetsSupport reporting requirements during system transitions and cutover periodsCollaborate with Corporate Accounting, global finance teams, and auditors as requiredProvide ad hoc financial analysis and support to broader finance initiativesQualifications & ExperienceProven experience working with finance systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar) and transformation initiativesProfessional accounting designation (CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)4+ years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, and finance transformation or project deliveryStrong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, Tax) and financial reporting processesExperience in multi-entity and multi-GAAP environments (insurance/reinsurance experience is an asset)Strong data analysis capability with advanced Excel and reporting toolsSkills & CompetenciesStrong ownership mindset with the ability to lead workstreams and deliver outcomesExcellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills across global teamsAbility to partner effectively with both Finance and Technology stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailProven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentHigh-quality documentation and communication skillsProactive, adaptable, and continuous improvement-focusedSalary range: $90,990 - $106,155 CAD per yearCompensation RangeThe compensation range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting.
