As a cybersecurity generalist at PwC you will focus on providing comprehensive security solutions and experience across various domains maintaining the protection of client systems and data. You will apply a broad understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to address diverse security challenges effectively.

• Lead the technical designdevelopmentand implementation ofautomations forvarious technologiesthat support security operations.

• Draft security automation workflows and implement them in SOAR solutions.

• Spearheadtheestablishmentimplementationandadoption ofbest practices for methodologies.

• Reviewand approve unit and integration testing ensuring compliancewithstandards and adherence to design specifications.

• Address and resolve technical issues.

• Documentautomationprocessesandprocedurescomprehensively.

• Offer broadexpertiseacrossvarioustechnical domains withemphasis on cyber security.

• Embed risk planning and mitigation strategies into all work initiatives.

• Assessstaffing requirements.

• Execute code reviews and ensure quality control.

• Engage in the continuous refinement and enhancement of SOAR capabilities to adapt to evolving security threats and operational needs.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SOAR solutions within the organizations broader security architecture.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within theteam.

• Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the long-term vision and roadmap for the organizations security operations and SOAR initiatives.

• Conduct code review and provide final sign off.

WhatYoull Bring
Your skills knowledge and experiences are what set you apart.Hereswhat we look for:

• ABachelorsdegree in a relevant area of study with a preference for Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

• Provenexpertisein Python/ JavaScript / Bash programming languages.

• Experience working with REST APIs.

• Strong understanding of cyber security fundamentals and networking fundamentals.

• Knowledge of SOAR technologies/Automation tools: Google SecOps SOAR Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR Splunk SOAR Microsoft Logic Apps.

• Cloud fundamentals: AWS/Azure/GCP.

• Knowledge of HTMLdevelopment;databasesand writing SQLqueries;Unix operating systems.

• Experience with Git and version control tools.

• Industry certifications are nice to have.

• Amasters degree in computer science/information securityoranotherrelevant field(asset).

• Knowledge of SIEM/EDR/network security toolsandofnetworking fundamentals(asset).

• Experiencewith CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps Jenkins and Puppet(asset).

• As a requirement a Security Clearance is mandatory for all staffwhollbe engaged on these assignments. The salary range for this position is $84700 - $134700. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada base salary is determined by your skills experience qualifications and work addition to base salary eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
