A career in our Financial Due Diligence practice within Deals Transaction Services will provide you the opportunity to help organisations realise the potential of mergers acquisitions and divestitures and capital short we help some of the worlds leading companies originate create execute and realise value from deals. Through data driven insights we help our clients move in the right direction ensuring maximum value for their company.

Our team assist organisations with both buy side and sell side due diligence. As part of our team youll help us provide both corporate and financial buyers with peace of mind by analysing and validating all the financial commercial operational and strategic assumptions being made.
Our team specializes in the Financial Services sector performing due diligence and other M&A activities on companies across the Insurance Banking & Capital Markets Asset & Wealth Management and Fintech subsectors. As part of our team youll have the opportunity to help our clients through the different stages of the M&A process.

The Opportunity:

As a Senior Associateyoullwork as part of a team of problem solvers helping to solve business issues deliverhigh qualityclientserviceand operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Participate in meetings with top-level management in a wide range of businesseswithin Financial Servicesto obtain critical information for due diligence

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of targeted companies (e.g. key business drivers market trends)

• Undertakein depthfinancial analysis of client and target financial data toidentifydeal issues and business value drivers

• Prepare key transaction analyses such as Quality of Earnings normalized net workingcapitaland analysis of debt and debt-like items. Data analytics tools will beutilizedto drive efficiencies in data processing and analysis and to present data effectively

Our principal focuses as regards this position are in the areas of:

• Buy-sideduediligence; and

• Vendor assistance/due diligence and carve-outs

What Youll Bring:

• Solid audit experience at a Senior Associatelevel

• A Chartered Accountant Designation (or local equivalent)

• Proven technical and analytical capabilities including proven financial and business performance analysisskills

• Experience with Financial Servicescompanies

• Strong communicationpresentationand report writingskills

• Proven engagement team management and leadership skills; and

• This roledoesntsupport completion of the Canadian CPA designation

• When applying to a Quebec based opportunity fluency in French is. Outside of Quebec fluency in French is an asset

The salary range for this position is $58400 - $97500. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada base salary is determined by your skills experience qualifications and work addition to base salary eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
