What youll be doing

As the Director IT Program Management youll be joining CIBCs Cybersecurity Third Party & Resilience (CTPR) Portfolio & Project Management Office (P&PMO) team to manage delivery of a portfolio of innovative projects. Youll be responsible for managing a team of 5 to 10 Project Managers and Project Coordinators.

How youll succeed

• Strategic development and execution - Manage the day to day activities of highly complicated project(s) in an inter-related strategic program following Technologys project performance standards. Perform high tactical business planning and return on investment outcomes. Initiate plan execute control and close out the program or project with an emphasis on project inter-dependency management.

• Governance - Establish and reinforce department policies and procedures. Must ensure that all necessary risk assessments and risk assessment processes are carried out at the appropriate time. Must ensure projects for which they are responsible meet the requirements of CIBCs standards policies and procedures.

• Relationship management - Maintain relationships with CTPR business teams to identify technology needs and align application services to support those needs. Establish and maintain stakeholder client and senior management relationships. Effectively manage engagement of senior leaders and executive sponsors.

• Strong leadership - Be a daring and authentic leader who is passionate about developing and coaching to bring out the best in people. Direct motivate develop and manage performance of the management team and key staff.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate 8-10 years of experience in end to end project delivery and project management as an IT Director or in a similar role. You deliver results in a matrix environment where they may not have direct influence on project resources. You must have previous experience establishing and maintaining stakeholder and sponsor relationships and you have experience in integration projects and keen interest in architecture and high level design. Youre a certified professional and have current accreditation and good standing in project management practices.
