As an Officer, Electronic Registration, you will be responsible for the registration of mortgage, discharge and other document types. You will review documents using underwriting and lender specific guidelines, identify potential risks, and elevate according to departmental procedures. You will use reporting to regularly monitor outstanding registrations and ensure they are completed within legislated timelines and correctly reported back to the lender or provide customer service to our front end partners. Attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment are crucial in this role.
HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:
- Process registrations of mortgages, discharges, and other document types in all Provinces, excluding Quebec.
- Identify potential risks such as discrepancies in the documentation and/or in the provincial registration platform.
- Send rejected documents to the appropriate department for follow up according to lender procedures.
- Assist with reviewing and actioning reports, preparing and registering discharges under Power of Attorney, and proper retention or destruction of completed files.
- Regularly review registrations outstanding with the various provincial land titles offices.
- Process search requests in various Provincial Search engines, and complete checks in the various Provincial Search engines to determine status of outstanding documents.
- Meet and exceed customer’s needs and expectations, responding via email or phone to internal parties regarding general inquiries on registrations.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Law clerk/ Legal Administration designation from a community college, or equivalent work experience in real estate law.
- Candidates must be available to work 8:30am-5:00pm full time hour (37.5 hours per week)
- Possess strong customer service skills with a focus on building relationships
- Possess strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities within a busy office environment
- Possess strong written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Total Direct Compensation:
38,540 - 46,310
Any pay range is in $CAD. The stated pay range reflects the total expected compensation for this role (e.g., base pay plus any expected incentives or allowances, where applicable)
