You're an enthusiastic, detail-oriented communicator who partners with internal clients to bring their stories and priorities to life. You combine creativity, sound judgment, and strong execution to deliver communications that engage and inspire Deloitte's people.

What will your typical day look like?

In this role as Senior Specialist, Firm Communications, you will serve as a trusted communications partner to leaders and teams across Deloitte Canada. Working closely with internal clients, you will provide communications guidance, develop strategic communications approaches, and deliver engaging content and campaigns that support key initiatives, projects, strategies, and events aligned with the firm's priorities.

Your experience will be instrumental in writing and editing effective, impactful messages, managing delivery across internal communications channels, and building strong relationships that enable successful communications outcomes.

This includes:
• Supporting the creation of high-impact internal communications plans across channels and audiences.
• Partnering with internal clients to understand business objectives, identify communications needs, and deliver communications projects from concept through execution.
• Building strong relationships across the firm and providing communications guidance on messaging, timing, audience engagement, and channel strategy.
• Developing impactful content - including articles, internal posts, presentations, speeches, and video scripts - designed around storytelling principles to drive meaningful engagement.
• Translating complex business priorities into clear, concise, and compelling communications tailored to specific audiences.
• Managing multiple communications projects simultaneously while balancing deadlines, competing priorities, and evolving business needs.
• Steering communications through the full cycle of research, writing, editing, approvals, translation, and distribution.
• Supporting the delivery of key events that are virtual, hybrid, or in-person.
• Leveraging firm-approved generative AI tools to generate ideas, enhance productivity, and create content.

About the team

You will be a member of the Firm Communications team within the broader Executive Office, helping the firm's leaders elevate communications across Deloitte Canada. Our work includes developing innovative approaches to content and distribution, simplifying complex messages to increase engagement and value, and bringing creativity to communications across internal channels.

We are trusted advisors and business partners who collaborate with leaders and teams across the firm to shape communications strategies, strengthen relationships, and deliver impactful employee experiences. Our team plays a critical role in helping Deloitte Canada achieve its purpose and make an impact that matters.

We want to work with enthusiastic, creative, and committed individuals who are passionate about internal storytelling. Core competencies and attributes to be successful in this role include:
• A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of communications experience (understanding of large corporate settings or professional services organizations is an asset).
• Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editing skills.
• The ability to gather relevant information and transform it into clear, concise, and engaging content.
• Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal clients at all levels of the organization.
• Experience managing communications projects from intake through execution.
• Experience using generative AI tools to support content creation, research, and communications planning is an asset.
• A meticulous eye for detail, excellent time-management and organizational skills, and strong judgment.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
