Salary Range: $165,000 - $195,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Director, Solutions Architecture to lead architecture strategy across a complex Capital Markets trade processing ecosystem.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for defining future-state architecture, driving modernization initiatives, and ensuring the effective design and integration of systems supporting the end-to-end trade lifecycle.

The successful candidate will partner with senior technology leaders, application teams, and business stakeholders to guide architectural decisions across a broad portfolio of applications spanning multiple asset classes, including Fixed Income, FX, Futures, Commodities, and Derivatives.

This role is ideal for a senior architect who combines deep Capital Markets domain expertise with strong leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Lead the architecture strategy and roadmap for Capital Markets trade processing platforms
• Define end-to-end solution architectures for complex business and technology initiatives
• Drive modernization efforts across legacy and strategic applications
• Review existing architecture and identify opportunities for optimization, scalability, and simplification
• Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices across application teams
• Partner closely with development, business, operations, and enterprise architecture stakeholders
• Ensure technology solutions align with enterprise architecture principles and strategic objectives
• Lead architecture discussions and provide technical direction for major initiatives
• Drive integration and data flow decisions across front, middle, and back-office platforms
• Evaluate vendor solutions and manage architecture engagement with third-party technology partners
• Influence investment decisions and help shape long-term technology strategy
• Provide leadership and mentorship to architects and senior technology teams

What You Bring

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, Lead Architect, or Enterprise Architect
• 5+ years of experience within Capital Markets technology environments
• Strong understanding of trade processing and trade lifecycle workflows
• Experience designing and governing enterprise-scale application architectures
• Deep knowledge of system integration patterns and distributed architectures
• Experience working across front-office, middle-office, and post-trade technology ecosystems
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
• Proven experience leading large-scale architecture and modernization initiatives

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience supporting Fixed Income, FX, Futures, Commodities, or Derivatives businesses
• Exposure to industry platforms and vendor solutions within Capital Markets
• Experience working with trade processing, settlement, clearing, risk, or operations systems
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern application architecture patterns
• Experience working within globally distributed technology organizations
• Knowledge of event-driven, microservices, and API-based architectures
