We are currently looking for Dance Instructors to lead programs for adults, youth and children in a variety of dance forms.

ABOUT YOU You are a team player committed to community. You will plan and instruct developmentally appropriate dance classes, and prepare your own music and choreography. You will be working in a creative environment utilizing your leadership and people skills while maintaining a safe environment to engage children to expand their interest in dance. You are an excellent communicator with a positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
SKILLS REQUIRED: - Ability to lead interactive dance classes designed for infants, toddlers, 3–5-year-olds, and their caregivers.
- Able to develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate dance, movement, and other activities.
- Ability to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that fosters a love for dance, expressive movement, and supports the developmental needs of young children.
- Encourage caregiver participation and provide guidance on how they can engage in creative movement with their child.
- Adapt activities to meet the individual needs of children with varying abilities and developmental stages.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Candidates must have experience in their chosen dance form and 1 year teaching experience. All instructors working with children must have a current Emergency First Aid certificate and HIGH FIVE: Principles of Healthy Child Development training (available online through BCRPA). All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check as a condition of employment. The pay for this casual position ranges between $27.72 - $36.24 per hour, based on education and experience, plus 4% vacation pay. Hours may vary and instructors should be prepared to work days, evenings and/or weekends at any North Vancouver Recreation & Culture location. Please apply online:
