Our client, is seeking a highly analytical and data-savvy Senior Functional Testing Analyst to join their specialized Treasury, Risk, and Balance Sheet Management technology division.

In this senior consulting role, you will work in close partnership with business, data, and technology stakeholders to analyze complex requirements, validate intricate financial business processes, and ensure complete data integrity across risk management platforms. This position is ideal for a seasoned QA professional who combines strong functional testing methodologies with deep data reconciliation skills, allowing you to untangle complex data lineages, validate quantitative financial calculations, and query large datasets within cloud-hosted environments.

Duration: 12-Month Contract (with high viability for extension and permanent conversion)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days per week on-site, 1 day work from home)

Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Requirement Analysis
Functional Specification Mapping: Analyze functional and non-functional business requirements to design comprehensive, end-to-end test scenarios, test cases, and validation strategies.

End-to-End Testing Lifecycle: Execute System, Integration, End-to-End, Regression, and User Acceptance (UAT) support testing cycles within fast-paced sprint cadences.

Traceability & Documentation: Maintain complete, audit-ready testing evidence, requirement traceability matrices, and process flow models using Jira and Confluence.

Data Reconciliation & Technical Investigation
Large-Scale Reconciliation: Analyze, reconcile, and validate massive datasets to verify financial calculations, balances, allocations, forecasts, rates, and reporting outputs.

Data Pipeline Validation: Perform detailed validation of data ingestion, transformation, processing, and downstream consumption layers (from source-to-target and ingress-to-egress).

Databricks & SQL Querying: Utilize SQL and Databricks to independently investigate complex data issues, validate business rules, and perform root-cause analysis on data discrepancies.

Dashboard Verification: Validate downstream business metrics, reporting outputs, and data dashboards against expected results.

Collaboration & Governance
Agile Pod Engagement: Support Agile delivery pods as the dedicated quality owner, collaborating daily with Business Analysts, Developers, Data Engineers, and Product Owners.

Defect Lifecycle Management: Identify, log, triage, track, and retest software defects, driving resolution alongside engineering teams.

Quality Gate Stewardship: Support rigorous testing governance processes, release readiness reviews, and formal business sign-off requirements.

Innovative Testing: Leverage modern AI-enabled tools to accelerate test analysis, test design, and automated data validation workflows.



Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 7+ years of progressive professional experience in Functional Testing, QA Analysis, Data Validation, or closely related technical testing disciplines.

Data Reconciliation Depth: Demonstrated experience analyzing and reconciling large, complex datasets, validating upstream-to-downstream data flows, and verifying quantitative financial calculations.

Advanced Technical Tooling: Strong, independent SQL querying capabilities coupled with hands-on experience using Databricks SQL or similar cloud-based data analytics platforms for validation and investigative triage.

Requirement Interpretation: Proven ability to interpret process flows, data lineages, source-to-target mappings, and system interaction diagrams.

Agile & Project Management Tools: Robust experience working within Agile pod environments, utilizing Jira and Confluence to manage test assets, requirements, and defect lifecycles.

Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills; a self-motivated team player who exhibits rigorous attention to detail and is comfortable challenging assumptions.

Nice-to-Have Skills & Assets
Prior experience testing QRM, Treasury, ALM (Asset Liability Management), FTP (Funds Transfer Pricing), IRR (Interest Rate Risk), or related enterprise risk management platforms.

Foundational knowledge of financial products, balance sheet management, and interest rate risk concepts.

Scripting experience using Databricks Notebooks, Python, or PowerShell.

Experience validating reporting suites and dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI.

Understanding of enterprise data governance, data quality frameworks, and control validation methodologies.
