• (Internal Title:Project Management IV)
  • Manager to support delivery of the ETCS corridor re signalling program focused on Stage Gate progression schedule risk interfaces and readiness for NTP and construction. The role is delivery oriented and non design.
  • Execute/implement signalling project management activities through SG2 SG3 NTP
  • Manage schedule assumptions risks and access constraints (white periods closures)
  • Coordinate interfaces with Alstom GTCS Onboard RHPL NOC/BRC
  • Track IVA actions Stage Gate success criteria and governance deliverables
  • Manage and implement the assigned projects from inception through to completion
  • Develop new project or program plans and expectations in consultation with and delegating deliverables to stakeholders including clients
  • Determine and manage the human and material resources required to complete assigned projects successfully
  • Formulate a resource allocation strategy and utilize this to distribute work and budgets
  • Exercise authority in managing the work and control the delivery of the projects per project plans
  • Review and ensure adherence to the overall scope schedule and budget
  • Identify risks and entrench mitigation strategies and contingency plans
  • Monitor and report on performance against project requirements schedule milestones budgets quality measures and KPIs and address issues with corrective actions as appropriate to ensure excellence and adherence to specified deadlines
  • Evaluate the projects effectiveness by consulting with clients and other stakeholders
  • Establish and deliver progress reports proposals and presentations to various audiences including the project team client executives key stakeholders and Operations
  • Lead scope change negotiations
  • Oversee ongoing quality control participate in quality issue resolution and manage internal quality control checks for the project
  • Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project and program life cycle
  • Complete any tasks assigned by Project Management V or higher in an efficient and timely manner

Requirements

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 12 years rail infrastructure project management
  • Strong background in signalling and/or train control programs
  • Proven experience on large multi bundle gated rail projects
  • Comfortable managing complex stakeholder and contractor interfaces
  • Experience in ETCS / CBTC / re signalling programs
  • Worked with Tier 1 supplier interface
• Education:
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field
• Licenses OR Certifications:
  • Holding a recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of prevailing Project Management methods
  • Extensive knowledge of tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in Project Management software
  • Must maintain professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies methods and best practices
  • Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership
  • Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities
  • Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal)
  • Expert ability to work collaboratively and independently in a structured disciplined technology-driven environment
  • Proven capacity to anticipate identify and minimize risks
