Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior AS400 Developer with deep expertise in IBM iSeries technologies, including ILE RPG, SQLRPGLE, CL, and DB2. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing both interactive and batch applications that support mission-critical payment processing systems. This role demands strong technical leadership, hands-on development skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across development and testing.
• Advanced proficiency in ILE RPG, SQLRPGLE, RPG III/IV, and CLP/ILE-CL.
• Strong experience with DB2 for iSeries, including external and internal file descriptions.
• Familiarity with Modules, Service Programs, Binding Directories, and ILE architecture.
• Experience with Programming Development Manager (PDM) and Query tools
• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on AS400 development experience.
• Proven track record in delivering complex AS400 solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders across business and technology teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization for AS400 batch jobs.
• Experience in mentoring and leading development teams.
• Exposure to Agile or hybrid development methodologies.
• Understanding of payment processing systems or financial applications is a plus.
