Job description

Hey there! We’re Fever, the world’s leading tech platform for culture and live entertainment. Our mission: to democratize access to culture and entertainment. With our proprietary cutting‑edge technology and data‑driven approach, we’re revolutionizing the way people engage with live entertainment. Every month, our platform inspires over 300 million people in more than 55 countries to discover unforgettable experiences while also empowering event creators with data and technology to scale, innovate, and enhance their events to reach new audiences.

Who You'll Work With

You’ll join our office in Toronto to work with the teams and directly interact with our partners, providers, and venues. In this role, you will help Fever grow its pipeline of original events by collaborating with all departments of Fever, from Marketing to Operations. The team you’re about to join consists of people that are motivated, young, and fun, with multicultural backgrounds and top profiles from McKinsey, Amazon, Google, KKR, Cirque du Soleil, PSG, and Roland Garros.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and detail‑oriented Production Director to join the Fever Originals team. You will take responsibility for the end‑to‑end production of complex live entertainment experiences involving the construction of permanent or semi‑permanent physical spaces, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role spans technical production, creative development, budgeting, process management, and leadership, and requires strong adaptability, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to balance speed and quality. You will serve as the main production point of contact across a wide portfolio of projects, coordinating technical teams, business leaders, our partners and external vendors, while leading processes that guarantee exceptional experiences for our audiences.

Technical Production

  • Interpret and validate CAD drawings, including lighting, sound, and power plans.
  • Validate site requirements with technical/creative leads and conduct and analyze site visits.
  • Apply cross‑department technical knowledge, including F&B, lighting, audio, stage, and video.
  • Oversee permitting from site assembly through building permits to F&B, with hands‑on venue preparation experience.

Design & Pre‑Production

  • Coordinate design reviews with creative and technical teams.
  • Ensure concepts align with client vision, technical feasibility, and financial targets.

Process & Administration

  • Create and maintain production bibles, handovers, and documentation.
  • Develop and track production schedules, Gantt charts, and milestones.
  • Enjoy working with multiple platforms and complex processes.

Budgeting

  • Build and maintain production budgets throughout the feasibility, sign‑off, and operational stages of production.
  • Ongoing monitoring of local operational spends and identification of optimization opportunities.
  • Invoice management and closing of the event P&Ls.
  • Negotiate and execute vendor, staffing, and MSA contracts.

Management & Leadership

  • Lead meetings, capture outcomes, and present confidently to senior stakeholders.
  • Translate complex technical challenges into clear, actionable business decisions.
  • Ability to defend your opinion with tact at different levels of the organization.

About You

You have a proven track record of delivering large‑scale, technically complex productions with multiple stakeholders and high budgets. You combine strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with hands‑on technical knowledge across staging, lighting, sound, and logistics. You thrive in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments, are detail‑oriented yet innovative, able to anticipate challenges, negotiate solutions, and think strategically about creating compelling, seamless live experiences. This role requires both operational rigor and creative problem‑solving. Candidates should be passionate about live entertainment and event production, with the ability to balance technical feasibility, vision, and financial targets.

Industry Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in live event or entertainment production (theatrical, concerts, touring, experiential).
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex productions with high budgets and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of technical production, logistics, and permitting.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and managing large vendor networks.

Skills & Competencies

  • Fluency in English is required; French is a strong plus.
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling skills (including Gantt/project management tools).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams across levels.
  • Desire to grow within Production, and eventually manage others.
  • Strong academic background is a plus.

Mindset & Approach

  • Innovative, solution‑focused mindset with a huge appetite for learning.
  • Collaborative and hands‑on, willing to dive into all aspects of event delivery.

Location: Toronto, Canada. This position requires a minimum of three in‑office days per week.

Benefits & Perks

  • Attractive compensation package consisting of a base salary of approx. 70–95k CAD and the opportunity to earn a significant performance bonus.
  • Competitive employee benefits, including health and dental private insurance.
  • Responsibility from day one, with opportunities for professional and personal growth.
  • Opportunity to have a real impact in a high‑growth global category leader.
  • 40 % discount on all Fever events and experiences.
  • ClassPass membership.
  • Great work environment with a young, international team of talented people.

Fever is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workspace where everyone's background and ideas count. If you require any kind of accommodation during the selection process, please contact our Talent team so we can help you by providing a welcoming and seamless journey.
