Metrolinxs Project Delivery Office is continuously looking for experienced Project Coordinators to support with shaping the future of transit solutions. Under the supervision of the Managerthe Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and providing regular updates and reports on the day-to-day activities of the project including coordinating the design and construction of assigned transit infrastructure projects in a safe consistent and cost-effective manner.
Start Rate (Non-negotiable):$52.20 per hour
Location This role will be based out of the Projects relevant head office and various construction site locations across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) for regular and frequent site presence as assigned and subject to change.

What Skills & Qualifications Do I Need
- A college diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or an equivalent combination of education training and experience providing a thorough knowledge of the theories and practices of engineering/architecture.
- Minimum five (5) years experience related to the planning design and construction of transit facilities interpreting and applying contract plans and specifications and coordinating contracted engineering projects.
- Knowledge of the theory principles and practices of civil engineering and architecture.
- Detailed knowledge of project management including cost control scheduling codes standards specifications corporate procedures and applicable contract legislation.
- Understanding of Railway Rules and Regulations and Safety & Operating procedures.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to work independently and think analytically.
- Must successfully complete environmental safety and any other training and certification required to stay current on regulations and industry standards and as by corporate policy.
- Proficiency in the use of project management software and computer applications is essential.
- Work evenings nights and weekends and/or holidays as necessary.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions and at all hours of the day or night.
- Site visits may involve exposure to different levels of construction at stations parking lots platforms and railway corridors along with climbing ladders and scaffolding and exposure to inclement weather.
- A valid Ontario G Drivers Licence is required for regular site visits. A Drivers Abstract (within the last 3 Years) will be required of the successful candidate.
- This role requires frequent regular and consistent site presence at project site locations as assigned.
