Automation QA Engineer TestComplete & API Testing

Location: Toronto ON
Work Model: Hybrid 3 days at client office
Experience Required: 68 years

Skills

  • Automated QA TestComplete

Role Description

  • Validate RESTful and event-driven APIs to ensure functional accuracy performance and reliability.
  • Design and execute API test cases covering positive negative and edge-case scenarios.
  • Perform automated API testing using tools and frameworks such as Postman Karate and REST Assured.
  • Validate API security authentication and authorization using OAuth2 and JWT.
  • Collaborate with API Developers Solution Architects and DevOps teams across delivery pods.
  • Support CI/CD integrated testing defect triage and release sign-off.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise quality security and regulatory standards.

Essential Skills

  • 47 years of experience in API or integration testing within BFSI or regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs JSON HTTP protocols and integration patterns.
  • Experience with API test automation and defect management tools.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
