This role is critical in driving our mission to support global decarbonization and digitization trends through advanced electric heating solutions.The R&D Test Technician supports the research and development team by building, assembling, and testing prototypes and experimental setups in a laboratory environment. This role is hands-on and involves executing test plans, collecting data, and preparing reports. The technician also assists in maintaining lab equipment and ensuring the R&D workspace operates efficiently and safely.You'll thrive here if you:Want to make a real impact on a small, empowered team.Enjoy working as part of a cross-functional team to build, test and refine new products and technologies.Apply a hands-on approach with cutting-edge equipment to rigorously test and validate new designs.Appreciate the elegance of well thought-out, purpose-built designs.What You'll DoAssist engineers and senior team members in the research, testing, and development of new products by carrying out assigned tasks and supporting experimental activities.Build and assemble prototype components, test samples, and basic fixtures using provided drawings, instructions, or guidance from engineering staff.Support troubleshooting activities on products and related equipment by performing inspections, running tests, and helping identify potential issues under direction.Prepare basic technical documentation, including test procedures, data summaries, and simple lab reports, ensuring information is clear, accurate, and complete.Collect, record, and organize test data, and assist in comparing results against defined acceptance criteria, industry standards (CSA, UL, IEC), and customer specifications.
