The Hybrid Cloud Solution Architect will join the team that designs, builds and operates Siemens Healthineers' global Multi-Cloud (Microsoft Azure & AWS) and onpremises environments.
This role has two core focuses: architecting scalable, secure platforms for AI and HighPerformance Computing (HPC) workloads and designing robust general cloud infrastructure architectures to support enterprise applications and services. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience and a general overview of Cloud and On-premises IT architecture, software implementation, automation, quality assurance, monitoring and maintaining services with various underlying dependencies.
Close collaboration with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into performant and reliable cloud solutions is key to this position. The Hybrid Cloud Solution Architect will join the team that designs, builds and operates Siemens Healthineers' global Multi-Cloud (Microsoft Azure & AWS) and onpremises environments.

Responsibilities: * Design, build andmaintaincloud systems on Azure andAWSusing all available services with a focus on PaaS, while also architecting platforms and reference architectures specifically for AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) workloads. * Build solutions that provide availability, performance and stability in our systems,servicesand products at scale, including support for largescale model training, inference, and HPC simulations. * Work in conjunction with our demand teams, data science/HPC teams and business users to understand functionality, scalability, performance,securityand integration requirements for both application and AI/HPC use cases. * Propose architectures using native Azure/AWSservices, automation and serverless technology in a complex multitenant environment; include GPU/accelerator provisioning, distributed compute patterns, storage tiering andhigh throughput/low latencynetworking whenrequiredfor AI/HPC. * Collaborate within the organization to build secure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments in Azure andAWSthat also accommodate AI/HPC operational requirements. * Define migration solutions for existingon premhosted software development processes (CI/CD landscapes), including pipelines and practices for ML model lifecycle (training, validation, deployment) and reproducible HPC workflows. * Understand SiemensHealthineersinformation security requirements and drive adherence for cloud workloads, applying specific controls and governance needed for sensitive data used in AI and HPC workloads. * Develop andmaintaindocumentation for built Azure/AWSsystems and procedures, and include runbooks, capacity planningguidanceand tuning tips for AI/HPC jobs and large data pipelines. * Craft and evangelize secure cloud platform and product requirements, incorporating cost management and performance optimization strategies forcompute intensiveworkloads. * Embrace a culture of continuous service improvement and service excellence, with regular reviews of platform performance,costand reliability. * Stay current on cloud industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Qualifications: * Overall10+ years' experience in cloud technologies(Azure & AWS), with the most recent3yearson AI & HPC services * Proven experience designing hybrid cloudarchitecturesfor AI/ML and High-Performance Computing (HPC) use cases * Experience implementing enterprise-grade cloud solutions, including hybrid integration with on-premises compute and storage * Strong knowledge of cloud networking and application security, infrastructure hardening, security baselines, webserverand database security * Knowledge of Azure andAWSCloud security strategies,toolsand compliance frameworks, with the ability to apply IAM, encryption and network segmentation to compute-intensive workloads * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively on status,progressand risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders * Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience * AWSCloud Architect and Azure Solutions Architect Expert certifications preferred;additionalAI or security certifications are a plus * Knowledge of large-scale software development and CI/CD processes, including ML model CI/CD and reproducible workflows, is a plus * Demonstrated experience building reliable, scalable, secure, data-driven process automation for compliance,operationalizationand lifecycle management of cloud workloads Competencies and Behaviors: * Highly self-motivated with the ability toidentifyareas of focus and tackle new challenges with or without direction * Must be able to communicate effectively and build solid relationships with individuals at all levels, in multiple geographies and business functions * Strong oral, written, and presentation abilities - able to convey risk to all levels of the business, from C-level executives to operations and development teams * Strong business acumen with the ability to build business cases for technology initiatives and to effectively communicate the value proposition to non-technical stakeholders * Demonstrated ability to work under pressure * Ability to work within a dynamic andfast-pacedinternational environment * Ability to build rapport with other team members and relevant teams * Very goodcommunicationand negotiations skills * Technically innovative, able to express technical and non-technical concepts in clear verbal and written English * Very goodskills to document complex concepts in a comprehensive, yet readable manner * Encourages people to be open and share their views * Ability to use own initiative to solve technical problems, considering a range of options that meet the needs of all stakeholders * Takes responsibility for projects and strategic initiatives * Demonstrate clear and measurable results through the development of KPIs, goals and milestones, delivery Focused * Ambitious and competitive * Drive innovation and best practice * Strive for standardization and simplification in all aspects of work Soft Skills Requirements * Leadership * Collaboration & Customer Orientation * Intercultural Sensitivity * Value Orientation * Team Development * Ability to multi-task and handle multiple assignments simultaneously, while focusing on delivery quality * Ability to use initiative when needed * Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) * Quick learner and efficient, ability to get intonew technologiesand architectures The expected Compensation for this position is: $104,000 - $150,000 CAD Factors which may affect starting compensation within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
