Human Resources Director

Our client, a well-respected charitable organization serving communities across Southwestern Ontario, is seeking an experienced and people-focused Director of Human Resources to join their leadership team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Human Resources will provide both strategic leadership and hands-on guidance across all areas of Human Resources. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will play a key role in shaping people strategies, fostering employee engagement, supporting organizational effectiveness, and ensuring a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute people strategies that support organizational goals and foster a high-performing workplace culture.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, performance management, leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation, workplace investigations, and employment legislation.
• Lead compensation, benefits, payroll oversight, and HR operational processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and employee satisfaction.
• Coach and develop the HR team while driving organizational change, employee wellness, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CHRL designation is considered an asset.
• Progressive Human Resources leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior leaders.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, employee relations, total rewards, and workplace health and safety practices.
• Proven success leading organizational development, change management, and strategic HR initiatives within a complex environment.
