Help Shape Communities Across Ontario

At Mantecon Partners, our engineers do more than design infrastructure—they help create the communities where people live, work, and thrive.

Mantecon Partners is a growing multidisciplinary engineering firm providing structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering services throughout Ontario. We are known for delivering practical solutions, strong client relationships, and technical excellence across a diverse portfolio of land development, municipal, industrial, commercial, and institutional projects.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Civil Engineer, Land Development who combines exceptional Civil Engineering expertise with project leadership, client relationship management, team development, and practice growth skills. This role is ideal for a highly capable Civil Engineer with demonstrated experience delivering land development, water resources, and municipal infrastructure projects in accordance with Ontario municipal standards, approval processes, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will possess expertise in feasibility studies, land development, site plan development and design, parking lot design, stormwater management and urban drainage systems, municipal servicing, Watermain Hydraulics Analysis (WHA), erosion and sediment control, Low Impact Development (LID), and the detailed design of municipal infrastructure. A strong understanding of development approvals, municipal engineering standards, and regulatory requirements is essential.

While leadership and client engagement are important aspects of this role, we are ultimately seeking a strong Civil Engineer with the technical expertise to lead complex land development projects from concept through construction.

Why Join Mantecon Partners?

  • Lead exciting land development projects across Ontario.
  • Work directly with developers, municipalities, approval agencies, and project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering professionals.
  • Influence project outcomes from initial planning through construction and assumption.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior engineering professionals.
  • Join a growing organization where your leadership, expertise, and initiative can make a meaningful impact.
  • Enjoy a collaborative culture that values technical excellence, innovation, and professional growth.

The Opportunity

This position is ideal for a Civil Engineer who enjoys balancing technical excellence, project leadership, and client engagement.

You will serve as a lead Civil Engineer on complex land development and municipal infrastructure projects while coordinating multidisciplinary teams, working directly with developers, municipalities, approval agencies, and project stakeholders, and providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

This role also presents a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the department by contributing to team growth, recruitment, mentorship, and the development of technical capabilities. The successful candidate will play an active role in building and strengthening the team, participating in hiring decisions, supporting the professional development of engineers and designers, and helping establish the foundation for long-term departmental success.

Success in this role requires strong civil engineering expertise, sound technical judgment, and the ability to confidently guide projects from concept through construction while building trusted relationships with clients, municipalities, developers, and project stakeholders.

As Mantecon continues to expand its Land Development practice, this role offers an opportunity to play a meaningful part in shaping the growth of the department while mentoring future engineering professionals and contributing to the firm's long-term success.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for developers, municipalities, utilities, approval agencies, and project stakeholders.
  • Lead client meetings, technical presentations, and design review discussions.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Support projects during construction through field reviews, contract administration, RFI responses, and coordination with contractors and owners.
  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with clients, municipalities, and industry partners through exceptional service and technical expertise.

Team Development & Growth

  • Mentor and support engineers and designers.
  • Contribute to quality assurance initiatives, technical standards, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support proposal development, fee estimates, project pursuits, and client presentations.
  • Strengthen existing client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of Mantecon's Land Development practice.
