What you’ll do :
- Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
- Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels
- Lead a culture of safety and maximize operational efficiency
- Effectively manage the development and direction of the reporting team members
- Oversee the sales, margins, expenses, inventory, and sales for the department
- Provide training to gas bar clerks for all store duties and for opening and closing procedures
- Be familiar with and adhere to Lake Country Co-op policies such as selling of age restricted items and all government regulations relating to tobacco and lottery
- Complete all necessary daily reports as required including daily cash up and reconciliations
- Support and follow the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, procedures and train gas bar clerks accordingly
- Ensure the department is displaying, stocking, and rotating merchandise as per company policy and standard with a focus on maintaining image and brand standards
- Perform minor repairs to assets as required
- Complete other duties as required

Who you’ll work with : Reporting to the Community Operations Advisor, you will be a key participant in initiating, developing, and executing plans and policies to ensure continued growth in sales, service, and customer satisfaction.

Who you are :
You are looking for a career in Customer Service and :
- You have completed grade 12 or have a combination of relevant experience; 3+ years of retail sales experience in a supervisory role, especially in the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is preferred
- You have strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to successfully motivate and work with team members
- You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-orientated, and strive to be the best in what you do
- You have experience with C-Store / Gas Bar operations and general merchandise items
- You’re attentive to detail and have strong cash management skills
- Must be willing to obtain propane dispenser & WHMIS certifications
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, are an effective planner, and have superb time management skills
- You have Point of Sale experience and have the ability to work in a fast paced, guest facing environment
- You are available for day travel within the Lake Country Co-op trading area to attend seminars, meetings, training programs and other events
- You must be able to plan and organize your own work and that of others, supervise others, and delegate to others
- You have a valid Class 5 license and must have reliable vehicle for daily trips from Air Ronge to La Ronge; you will be reimbursed by Lake Country Co-op for business related expenses
- You have the ability to fulfill the physical job requirements Manual labour is required
- You have a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
