Northlands College
Northlands College is seeking an Instructor for our Addictions, Community and Mental Health Professional Year 1 program. The Instructors primary responsibility will be to provide instruction and tutorial support to students registered in the Addictions, Community and Mental Health Professional Year 1 program. Areas of instruction may include, but are not limited to: Introduction to Psychology; Complexity of Youth Addiction; Therapeutic Interventions for Families; Indigenous Models of Healing and Practice; Counseling Theories; Human Development; Recreation for Recovery; Case Management and Assessment; and Pharmacology.
The Instructor will play a crucial role in ensuring that program learning objectives are met, and that learners are engaged, supported, and motivated to succeed. Overall, the aim will be to create a positive, safe, and successful learning environment that fosters learner achievement and success. This position will be reporting to the appropriate academic Supervisor.
Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Education, or a degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. The term starts on August 24, 2026 and ends on June 04, 2027.
