Position Summary: Reporting to the HR Manager, The Health & Safety Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for health and safety activities within a food manufacturing facility. This role assists in maintaining compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and internal policies by coordinating training, maintaining documentation, and supporting inspections and incident tracking.This position works closely with leadership and employees to promote a safe work environment, while primarily supporting established programs rather than leading them. Duties and ResponsibilitiesProgram Support & AdministrationAssist in maintaining health & safety policies, procedures, and recordsTrack safety metrics, training records, inspections, and incident reportsEnsure documentation is up to date and audit-readySupport compliance with applicable health & safety legislation (e.g., OHSA)Point of Contact for all health & safety related itemsTraining CoordinationSchedule and track mandatory safety training (e.g., WHMIS, PPE, orientations)Support new hire safety onboardingAssist with preparing training materials and sign-off recordsWorkplace InspectionsParticipate in routine workplace inspections and hazard identificationDocument findings and track corrective actions to completionReport concerns to supervisors or management as appropriateIncident Reporting SupportAssist with documenting incidents, near misses, and first aid casesSupport investigations by gathering basic information and completing reportsMaintain incident logs and statisticsJoint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC)Coordinate JHSC meetings (scheduling, agendas, minutes, meetings)Track action items and ensure follow-up completionAssist with required inspections and documentationAudit & Compliance SupportMaintain organized records for compliance purposesGeneral SupportPromote basic safety awareness on the production floorProvide administrative support to the Health & Safety function & other duties as assignedQualifications:Strong attention to detail and evaluation skills, with a focused and diligent approach.1-3 years of experience in Health & Safety or food manufacturing.CRSP designation considered an asset.Post-secondary education in Health & Safety, or a related discipline is considered a strong asset.Experience with Claims Management is an asset.First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.Basic understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.Intermediate computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) are an asset.Strong oral and written communication skillsfortable working in a cool (2-4°C) production floor & office environment.Enthusiastic self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to multitask and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.We thank all that apply but will only contact those we wish to interview.In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Stampede Culinary Partners, ULC, is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free recruitment and selection process.
