Job descriptionOur client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Node.js API Developer (AWS) to join their team. As a Node.js API Developer (AWS), you will be part of the Digital Core support team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, collaboration, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Node.js API Developer (AWS)
Location & work model: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (2-3 times per week onsite)
Pay Range: $ 60 to $ 70 per hour (Both T4 and Incorporated options available )
What's the Job?
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Node.js applications and microservices on AWS infrastructure
- Architect and implement serverless and event-driven solutions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and DynamoDB
- Lead the design and implementation of API-level integrations between services, systems, and third-party platforms with a focus on scalability and reliability
- Build event-driven architectures leveraging SNS for publish-subscribe patterns and SQS for asynchronous message processing
- Design and optimize DynamoDB schemas for high-performance applications, including effective partitioning and index strategies
What's Needed?
- Experience Level: 5+ years of professional software development experience with at least 3+ years focused on Node.js
- Industry Experience: 1+ years of working in Financial Services and understanding of Retail Banking complexities
- Strong proficiency in Node.js with production experience in Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks
- Demonstrated expertise with AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB
- Deep knowledge of asynchronous programming, RESTful API design, and NoSQL database concepts
