Job description
Full-Time Afternoon Shift Opportunity We are currently hiring an experienced CNC Punch Press Operator for a reputable manufacturing client in Richmond Hill. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled metal fabrication professional with experience operating Strippit Global and Amada punch presses in a fast-paced production environment. Shift:
Monday to Thursday
3:00 PM – 1:30 AM Pay Rate: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour (based on experience and skill level) Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC punch press equipment to produce quality metal components.
  • Select appropriate tooling based on material specifications and production requirements.
  • Load programs, adjust machine settings, and monitor equipment performance.
  • Inspect tooling and completed parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering drawings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Use precision measuring instruments, including Vernier calipers, protractors, and tape measures.
  • Assist with material handling, including lifting materials up to 60 lbs. and operating hoists when required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience operating CNC Punch Presses, specifically Strippit Global and/or Amada equipment.
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and light gauge manufacturing.
  • Experience working to tight tolerances and quality specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools and quality inspection procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Forklift experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience with shearing, hardware insertion, or other fabrication processes is an asset.
