Job description
Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Java & Hadoop Sr.Developer to join their dynamic team. As a Java & Hadoop Sr.Developer, you will be part of the technology department supporting innovative data solutions and software development initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Java & Hadoop Sr.Developer
Location: Toronto, ON (Remote work available)
Pay Range: $ 45
What's the Job?

- Design, develop, and implement scalable Java and Hadoop-based data processing solutions.
- Build and optimize Big Data applications using Java, Scala, Hadoop, Hive, and Spark technologies.
- Develop REST APIs and microservices with Spring Boot, ensuring seamless integration and communication.
- Utilize containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes for deployment.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance microservices performance using tools like Splunk and CloudWatch.
What's Needed?

- 6 to 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, with flexibility to consider 5+ years.
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, REST API development, Kafka, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with Big Data technologies including Hadoop, Hive, Scala, and Spark.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL, and query optimization.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
