The company specializes in a broad range of project execution models, including Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), Design-Build, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), General Contracting, and Specialty Contracting services.

With expertise spanning the energy, automotive, and industrial sectors, our client has a particular focus on renewable energy projects and emerging electric vehicle infrastructure. The organization also self-performs key construction disciplines, including medium- and high-voltage electrical installations, allowing for greater control over quality, safety, and project outcomes.

Built on a foundation of integrity, collaboration, and innovation, our client is recognized for delivering complex projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Their commitment extends beyond construction, fostering strong relationships with clients, developing talented professionals, and creating lasting value within the communities they serve.

POSITION SUMMARY

Our client is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the successful execution of industrial and EPC construction projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role will assist in coordinating electrical, civil, structural, and mechanical scopes while providing technical, administrative, and field support throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing engineering documentation, construction planning activities, quality assurance processes, and communication between project stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, document action items, and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Manage and maintain project logs, including RFIs, submittals, change requests, and document control records.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of project filing systems and digital project management platforms.
  • Prepare project closeout documentation, turnover packages, as-built drawings, and related deliverables.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in developing work packages, construction execution plans, and workface planning documentation.
  • Monitor project schedules and provide updates on progress, milestones, and potential delays.
  • Identify constructability concerns, technical challenges, and project risks, escalating issues as required.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and project standards.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely submission of documentation, progress reports, and schedule updates.
  • Support procurement activities by assisting with material tracking, requisitions, receiving verification, and traceability requirements.
  • Assist with project cost tracking, forecasting, change management, and scope control activities.
  • Prepare regular project status reports for internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to project planning efforts related to scheduling, budgeting, risk mitigation, and resource coordination.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by supporting site safety initiatives and compliance programs.
  • Participate in quality management activities, audits, inspections, and documentation reviews.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project team members where appropriate.
  • Perform additional project-related responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or a related discipline) or a Diploma in Engineering Technology (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in industrial, EPC, automotive, energy, or heavy construction environments.
  • Exposure to electrical, civil, structural, and/or mechanical construction activities.
  • Working knowledge of engineering principles, industrial construction practices, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, layouts, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and related project management software.
  • Experience supporting project controls functions, including scheduling, cost management, forecasting, and documentation control.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic construction environments with changing project demands.
