Graphic Designer

Description

The position of North America (NA) Graphic Designer will focus on graphic and information design for priority pursuits and proposals as well as various prepositioning and business development efforts. This role demands an understanding of graphic design fundamentals along with creativity effective collaboration skills and proficiency in technical software to execute design concepts quickly and efficiently. This position requires the ability to collaborate seamlessly and effectively with diverse teams including proposal managers capture managers and technical staff on identified pursuits. This includes preparing formal and informal client solicitations such as requests for qualifications (RFQ) requests for proposals (RFP) pre-solicitation efforts and interviews.

Creative Responsibilities

• Creative Deliverables:Create effective documents and presentations with a strong understanding of proposal and presentation psychology to clearly convey messages themes and evaluation criteria

• Infographics:Developinformativegraphicsthatconveycomplexinformationincludinginfographicsfigurescharts maps and diagram and support messaging and themes

• Presentations: Develop creative custom presentations with animation sound or other components collaborating with proposal teams

• Templates: Develop customized templates for client pursuits and presentations

• Photo Editing: Adherence to best practices in photo editing and color correction with a focus on headshot retouching and project photography enhancement

• Custom Packaging: Design customized covers and tabs coordinating with vendors and production staff

• Design Explorations:Communicateandarticulatedesignbriefsandcreativeoptionstostakeholders

• Comment Processing:Process comments and edits to graphic elements collaborating with subject experts or authors to finalize and resolve issues

• Vendor Requirements:Develop graphics that meet specified vendor requirements including graphics for exhibits boards or promotional items

• Document Finalization:Oversee and support the finalization of documents for production packaging or shipping providing coaching and support to junior designers

Professional Responsibilities

• Workload Management:Possess initiative skill and personal commitment to manage multiple projects and details concurrently follow-up and bring tasks and projects to full completion

• Pursuit Team Participation: Participate in planning storyboarding/content planning and reviews (e.g. Pink and Red) as part of the pursuit team

• Technical Support:Provide technical or logistics support for presentations video conferencing meetings storyboarding sessions key review meetings and final document reviews

• Communication and Diplomacy:Excellent verbal and written communication skills adept at handling challenging situations diplomatically. Strong customer service positive attitude and flexibility in high-pressure environments.

• Ensure Compliance:Actively participateincaptureandproposalkick-offmeetingstounderstandallrelevantRFPrequirements and to ensure graphic compliance

• Quality Assurance: Strongabilitytoproofreadandwriting/grammaticalrulestoensurehigh-qualityproducts

• Problem Solving:Resourceful problem solver able work with team and identify visual or graphics to best communicate

Knowledge Expectations

• Proficiency in AdobeCreativeCloud(InDesignIllustratorPhotoshop Acrobat Pro)applications

• Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice(Word PowerPoint Excel) applications

• Proficiency in collaborative tools (Microsoft Outlook Teams SharePoint)

• Proficiency in graphic design fundamentals including layout typography color theory and visual hierarchy

• Understanding of industry graphic design best practices and procedures work processes and tools

• Understanding of print design and production

• Understanding of presentation design and production

Qualifications

• BachelorsdegreeinGraphicDesign Communications or FineArtsorequivalent certification from accredited school

• 5yearsprior graphicdesignexperience

• 2 years experience working in marketing and proposals department preferred

• The salary range for this position is $63158.00- $105263.00. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for GHD locations in major city centers. Ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At GHD base salary is determined by your skills experience qualifications and work location.
