Client Reporting Analyst

The Client Reporting Analyst will help establish cohesion between business units IT stakeholders and end users through management of the end-to-end process of creating and distributing tax documents. The individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining trust in the quality and timeliness of deliverables through the analysis of complex tax reporting requirements implementation of process controls and facilitation of acceptance testing. This will be achieved through an ongoing review and support of processes involved in each phase of the Tax Reporting Life Cycle.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Assisting with Exempt Distributions Filing (Commencing January)
• Formatting and organization of large sets of data and filing to respective provinces
• Tax Shell creation Tax Factor review entry QC
• General assistance with YE tax slips Batch closing/file generation reconciliation QC XML filing to CRA/MRQ.
• Estate tax slip generation
• Assisting with generating end of year tax slips CI financial and Assante Wealth Management
• Other tasks as needed

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

• Previous Business Analyst experience an asset
• Experience with Canadian and US Tax Reporting an asset
• Post Secondary Education
• Canadian Securities Course or IFIC Operations Course an asset
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles with a focus on account reconciliations
• Working knowledge of CI products or Assante back office processes an asset
• Knowledge of testing practices and procedures an asset
• Bilingual in French and English an asset
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines with strong time management skills
• Excellent communication skills with experience in business writing
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Self-starter and self-motivated
• Strong relationship building skills
• Able to work independently and in a team setting
• Ability to think outside of the box
• Excellent and proven time management skills

This role follows our inoffice work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $42500 to $71000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience skills education and budget.
