With the power of many curious minds, together we can continue to solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.**Role description:**We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in Transmission Distribution & Battery Storage (TDS), high voltage transformer stations, protection and control including intelligent electronic devices (IEDs). This role will involve working on cutting-edge projects that incorporate the latest industry standards and technologies, including battery energy storage and T&D planning.**Role accountabilities:*** Lead the design and implementation of Transmission and Distribution systems including grid battery storage, focusing on substations and protection and control strategies.* Oversee the integration of intelligent electronic devices and ensure compliance with the latest industry standards and regulations.* Develop and manage battery energy storage solutions to enhance grid reliability and performance.* Provide expert consultation on T&D planning to optimize current and future power infrastructure.* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet client needs and project specifications.* Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.* Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success and compliance.**Qualifications & Experience:*** Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.* Minimum of 20-25 years of experience in electrical engineering but prefer 15+ years of experience with a focus on Transmission &Distribution systems. Battery Energy Storage is a plus.* Proven experience with substations, protection and control systems, BESS, and IEDs. Ontario Experience is a plus.* Familiarity with the latest industry standards and practices, including energy storage technologies, as well as Canadian provinces regulations.* Strong project management skills and the ability to lead complex engineering projects.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in client-facing roles.* Professional Engineering (P.Eng) license in Onatrio is preferred; other Provinces is a plus. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position.
