What will your typical day look like?


As a Manager in our Regulatory, Quality, Risk & Reputation team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the firm maintains its compliance with the personal independence rules for our people and clients by ensuring that compliance processes are being completed efficiently and effectively. This role will give you an opportunity to gain in depth knowledge regarding certain Canadian and international independence rules and Deloitte policies with which our people must comply with. You will embrace working in an agile work environment and connect with our team, partners and professionals across the country and abroad.

About the team


You will be working with our Regulatory, Quality, Risk & Reputation group, specifically with Personal Independence, a part of Deloitte’s National Office. Personal Independence is a nimble and flexible team that is
always evolving and adjusting as the firm’s business evolves. We have an established team to monitor and assist our partners and professionals with their independence requirements.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with these required skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Regulatory, Risk Management and/or Compliance related field
  • The ability to research and understand external regulations or supporting materials produced
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Delivers and leads others to deliver high quality work
  • Strong organization and process management skills: ability to prioritize work demands and meet deadlines
  • The ability to coach and lead junior team members, but also the courage to roll up your sleeves and work at a detailed level
  • The ability to build relationships and establish trust with individuals at all levels, including the leaders, at the Firm though superior verbal and written communication skills
  • A love of working both independently and as part of a supportive and collaborative team in a very fast paced and agile environment
  • Ability to compile and review data to identify root causes of issues and execute effective solutions that impact business results or enhance the level of service we provide
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion with ability to handle high-level confidential data
  • Awareness of regulatory policies pertaining to the securities markets, US and Canadian regulators (SEC/PCAOB, CPAB)

It would be great for you to have some of these nice to have’s as well:

  • French proficiency is an asset (Due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients, English is required for this position)
  • A strong foundation in financial literacy, including knowledge of financial products, is an asset

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
