Job description
Our client is a global leader in high-end office environments and architectural manufacturing, employing over 3,500 people worldwide. Within their premium Architectural Interiors division, they specialize in sophisticated, custom-engineered solutions including advanced glass wall systems, integrated technology-driven meeting spaces, automated doors, and bespoke acoustic glass designs. Known for a corporate culture that champions innovation, sustainability, and cross-functional design, they offer a collaborative, highly trusting environment where leadership avoids micromanagement and empowers teams to build premium spaces.

We are seeking a strategic Engineering Program Manager to lead the product development lifecycle for this dynamic division. In this role, you will champion New Product Development (NPD) from initial engineering concept to market execution, bridging the gap between design engineering and a premier global dealer network. You will directly manage a dedicated team of 4 technical professionals (Project Managers, Software Coordinators, and Testers) while cross-functionally guiding broader industrial design and product engineering teams.

Advantages
Work-Life Flexibility: Enjoy a balanced hybrid work schedule (1 day WFH) alongside customizable, flexible daily start windows to suit your lifestyle.

100% Fully Covered Benefits: Premium medical, dental, and vision coverage with 100% of the premium costs paid entirely by the company.

Empowering Culture: Join a non-unionized, highly collaborative corporate environment with an approachable, trusting leadership style that completely rejects micromanagement.

Long-Term Financial Security: Secure your future with immediate access to a personal RRSP setup and a pension plan.

Strategic Impact: Take ownership of a highly specialized product portfolio with significant visibility across global operations, stepping into a well-established division with long-tenured corporate stability.

Responsibilities
New Product Development (NPD) Orchestration: Lead the product development pipeline from concept to production implementation. Secure multi-departmental consensus, establish cross-functional milestones, and keep design and engineering teams perfectly aligned.

Dealer Network Technical Advisory: Act as the primary technical liaison for our established dealer network. Facilitate technical roadmaps, conduct risk assessments, and align on project scopes with partners who manage direct client relationships.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance: Organize and document post-launch "Lessons Learned" sessions to refine engineering tools and processes. Coordinate testing/validation activities for product certification and liaise with Specification Software Developers to ensure seamless data flow.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is strictly required.

Experience: 10+ years of overall engineering/manufacturing experience, with 8+ years dedicated to Program or Project Management.

Leadership: Proven track record of direct people management (prior experience managing direct reports is required).

Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience and proficiency with AutoCAD (2D/3D) and SolidWorks.

Industry Background: Prior experience in Architectural Interiors, Contract Furniture, Construction, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing.

Designations/Certifications: P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) status or a PMP/PMI certification is considered a strong asset.

Specialized Software: Exposure to CET Designer or related specification/space-planning software is highly preferred.
