Role Description

The Sector Portfolio Leader Rail & Transit will support the Regional Sector Executive Rail & Transit by building awareness and visibility of Arcadis, acting as a thought leader in the market for the Sector Portfolio of clients or assets in Eastern Canada. This role will support Tier 3 Account Managers within the Portfolio to strengthen their client relationships and increase NOI and NR. This role will also oversee Client Portfolio Managers to help them execute the Sector/Portfolio Strategy.

Role Accountabilities

In this role, you will support the Regional Sector Executive in building and driving the overall Portfolio strategy, ensuring that our approach remains innovative and aligned with organizational objectives. You will also work closely with Client Portfolio Managers to execute sector strategies, particularly focusing on Tier 3 client accounts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting both Client Portfolio Managers and Account Managers in the preparation and submission of annual client business plans, ensuring that our strategic goals are consistently met.
  • Strengthening Arcadis’ brand presence in the market by attending industry events and conferences and actively helping to position Arcadis as a thought leader within client portfolios.
  • Supporting Account Managers with stakeholder management for our most strategically important clients.
  • Ensuring that the Portfolio’s financial performance aligns with established targets, working collaboratively to pursue new commercial models with clients where appropriate.
  • Supporting Client Portfolio Managers and Account Leaders in achieving financial objectives such as NOI, NR, cash, and margin, making sure these are in line with sector goals and that the business pipeline is managed accurately and efficiently.
  • Acting as a mentor and guide for Client Portfolio Managers and Account Leaders, providing direction on portfolio strategy and people management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive leadership experience in the Sector with clear accountability for sales growth, client portfolio performance and pricing strategy across strategic client portfolios.
  • Strong financial acumen for pricing, margin optimization and risk management, including experience shaping commercial models that balance competitiveness and profitability.
  • Advanced client insights and market awareness, with the ability to interpret client priorities, sector trends and competitive dynamics to develop compelling client strategies and investment plans.
  • Proven success in strategic leadership across complex, non-hierarchical, global organizations, able to set direction, communicate a compelling industry vision and align teams across geographies to deliver client outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for high-level client engagement, with the ability to represent Arcadis credibly with senior client and partner stakeholders.
  • Experience with growing client relationships and mentoring relationships with Client Portfolio Managers and Account Leaders.
  • Exceptional relationship building, combining sector expertise with strong client engagement and stakeholder management, inspiring high-performing teams and fostering collaboration to achieve client goals.
  • Leadership style that empowers Arcadians, promotes accountability and continuous improvement, and supports a healthy, inclusive and high-engagement culture aligned to the Arcadis Leadership profile of being curious, driving success and igniting passion.
  • Degree level education in a relevant technical or commercial discipline, such as accounting, finance, sales, or equivalent practical experience.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $188,920 - $238,920. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
