What youll be doing

As Director Strategy & Reporting for the Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering (EAML) team youll play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the divisions strategic priorities. Reporting to the VP Strategy Governance & Advisory youll collaborate with senior leaders to define the purpose vision and core strategy for EAML while implementing frameworks to track progress against divisional goals. Youll oversee the development and production of senior executive and board reporting for the AML/Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF) Program ensuring accuracy completeness and timely delivery. Your strategic insights will help optimize operational capacity and workforce planning and youll lead a team dedicated to maintaining high standards in reporting and governance. Building strong relationships across CIBC youll be a key connector between EAML and partner departments supporting compliance and driving continuous improvement.

How youll succeed

• Strategic Planning & Execution Collaborate with senior leadership to define EAML priorities develop strategic roadmaps and monitor progress against objectives providing updates and identifying areas for improvement.

• Reporting & Metrics Management Lead the team responsible for producing monthly quarterly and annual reports for Boards Committees and senior executives; ensure data accuracy consistency and visually clear presentation.

• Capacity Planning & Forecasting Analyze operational workflows and resource allocation present insights to inform workforce planning and continuously refine forecasting models to align with evolving business needs.

• Governance & Compliance Build and maintain governance frameworks for EAML metrics manage access to reports and ensure compliance with CIBC policies and controls.

• Team Leadership & Development Provide effective management and mentorship to staff set context for assignments build team capabilities through development opportunities and foster a positive inclusive work environment.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration Establish and nurture strong relationships with key internal partners across Risk Management Finance Internal Audit Human Resources Chief Administration Office and Corporate Secretary.

Who you are

• You have expertise in AML Compliance or Risk Management. Your experience enables you to navigate complex regulatory environments and contribute to strategic planning.

• Youre a strategic thinker. You bring a university degree and a strong understanding of value creation options analysis and business performance metrics.

• Youre an analytical problem solver. Your excellent analytical skills support data interpretation risk management and informed decision-making.

• Youre a skilled communicator. You have exceptional written and presentation skills and can clearly document and convey complex concepts to diverse audiences including senior executives and board members.

• Youre an effective team leader. You have proven experience managing high-performing teams providing mentorship and aligning individual roles with business priorities.

• Youre highly organized and detail-oriented. You consistently deliver accurate and comprehensive reports maintaining strong attention to detail.
