Type: 6-month temporary contract to start, potential to extend based on performance and continued expanded business needs
Pay Rate: $38-$43 per hour + 4% vacation pay (commensurate with experience)
About the RoleWe are seeking a strategic and analytical Supervisor, Value Management to join a growing team focused on driving efficiency, cost optimization, and smarter investment decisions across media portfolios.
This is a newly evolving function designed to respond to increasing business demand and complexity. The successful candidate will bring a non-linear, problem-solving mindset-someone who can dive into detail while simultaneously stepping back to assess broader opportunities and solutions.
You will play a key role in evaluating media investments, identifying efficiencies, and supporting teams with data-driven insights that improve overall value.
What You'll Do- Analyze media spend across channels (e.g., digital, TV, print, out-of-home) to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Evaluate data sets and spreadsheets to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities
- Apply both detail-oriented analysis and big-picture thinking to recommend strategic adjustments
- Partner with internal buying and planning teams to align on value optimization strategies
- Support responses to auditors and interpret varying frameworks, methodologies, and terminology
- Translate complex data and audit requirements into clear, actionable insights
- Assist in developing standardized approaches, taxonomies, and best practices across accounts
- Contribute to evolving service models and value management frameworks
- Work on smaller accounts initially, with increasing autonomy over time
- NOTE that while Supervisor in title, there is no direct supervision of staff, more the ownership of the accounts
What You Bring- Experience in media planning, buying, or media analytics
- Strong understanding of media channels, transactions, and market dynamics
- Ability to think non-linearly - connecting detailed analysis to broader strategic outcomes
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on "how to achieve the goal differently"
- Comfort working with data (Excel skills required; advanced analytics support will be provided)
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex or inconsistent terminology
- Experience working with audits, financial reviews, or reconciliation processes is an asset
- Adaptability and curiosity-diverse backgrounds and perspectives are highly valued
