Job description

Position Summary

Dedicated exclusively to children and their families, the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is one of the largest and most respected paediatric healthcare centres in the world.

The Department of Paediatrics at SickKids is recruiting a full‑time staff Paediatric Haematologist/Oncologist for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Section of the Division of Haematology/Oncology, effective December 1, 2026. Candidates at all career stages are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care for patients in the Leukemia/Lymphoma section in inpatient and ambulatory settings.
  • Perform procedures and participate in out‑of‑hour clinical coverage.
  • Contribute to the Division’s clinical, research, and teaching missions, with a focus on evidence of teaching and research excellence.
  • Coordinate care with an interprofessional team.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in English.
  • Hold an MD, MBBS, or equivalent.
  • Certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or comparable qualifications.
  • Hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
  • Eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto.
  • Specific interest or expertise in paediatric lymphoma and/or adolescent and young adult oncology is preferred but not required.

Salary and Benefits

Annual salary range: $275,543–$350,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, long‑term disability insurance, group insurance, pension plan, vision care, academic allowance, and a relocation package.
