Amazon MGM Studios is seeking an experienced Post Production Executive to join our Canadian Originals team. In this role, you will oversee and manage post-production workflows across a diverse slate spanning scripted series, unscripted series, and feature films. You will serve as a key liaison between creative teams, post-production vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure all deliverables meet Amazon's technical and creative standards on schedule and within budget.
Key job responsibilities
•Post-Production Oversight: Manage end-to-end post-production workflows for multiple concurrent projects.
• Multi-Genre Coverage: Serve as the post-production lead across scripted drama/comedy, unscripted/reality and feature films — adapting workflows and vendor strategies to the unique demands of each format.
• Schedule & Budget Management: Develop and maintain detailed post-production schedules and budgets; identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
• Vendor & Facility Management: Vet, onboard, and manage relationships with post-production facilities across Canada.
• Technical Standards & Delivery: Ensure all deliverables comply with Amazon Studios' technical specifications, QC standards, and platform delivery requirements.
• Format-Specific Expertise: Navigate the distinct post-production needs of each format.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Production, Creative Development, Legal/Business Affairs, and Technology teams to align post-production plans with overall production timelines.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, adopt new technologies (e.g., cloud-based post workflows, SITC platform), and drive operational efficiency across the post-production pipeline.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular status updates to Studio leadership and executive stakeholders; escalate issues with proposed solutions.
• Standards & Compliance: Ensure compliance with Canadian regulatory requirements as they relate to post-production spend and personnel.
