Job description

Job Title: Applications Architect - Senior (Senior PeopleSoft Architect)
Location: Toronto Ontario
Work Model: Onsite
Security Clearance: CRJMC

Description / Responsibilities / Skills

Must Have

  • Experience leading technical teams across full project lifecycle (analysis design implementation)
  • In-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 upgrades
  • Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 suite including Fluid and Classic Plus UI
  • Strong experience designing and delivering PeopleSoft HCM technical solutions
  • Experience working with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies

Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and expertise in IT architecture across business application technology and security domains
  • Lead planning design and implementation of architecture solutions for complex multi-year I&IT initiatives
  • Develop architecture policies standards guidelines and best practices
  • Provide specialized PeopleSoft HCM technical expertise for system design and implementation
  • Analyze issues provide recommendations and lead resolution activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve PeopleSoft modules and system performance
  • Coordinate technical design and delivery across project teams
  • Support architecture governance and compliance with OPS standards
  • Lead integration of PeopleSoft solutions across multi-ministry systems

  • Strong experience in enterprise architecture design and implementation
  • Experience working with large-scale multi-system environments
  • Strong systems analysis and design experience
  • Ability to define conceptual logical and physical architecture
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies
  • Ability to manage complex technical issues and dependencies
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with OPS or public sector environments
  • Knowledge of information management principles and policies
  • Experience with security architecture and compliance frameworks
  • Experience working with enterprise integration strategies

Skills

Architecture and Solution Design 30%

  • Experience identifying architecture requirements and designing enterprise solutions
  • Experience developing conceptual logical and physical architecture models
  • Experience integrating commercial systems across multi-ministry environments
  • Experience performing business process analysis and system design

PeopleSoft HCM Expertise 30%

  • Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM platform and modules including HR Payroll Benefits Absence Management and Time and Labour
  • Experience leading design and build of PeopleSoft HCM technical solutions
  • Experience providing recommendations and solutions for HCM system improvements
  • Experience supporting PeopleSoft upgrades and enhancements

Analytical and Problem Solving 20%

  • Ability to develop architectural solutions for multi-year initiatives
  • Ability to assess risks and recommend architecture alternatives
  • Experience handling complex problem-solving scenarios and system integrations
  • Ability to support innovation and technical strategy development

Integration and Technical Leadership 20%

  • Experience resolving integration issues across multiple systems and applications
  • Strong experience with system integration strategies and architecture
  • Experience leading technical teams and providing project guidance
  • Ability to ensure alignment of architecture with business objectives
