DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Sr. Manager HCC Canada located in Toronto Ontario Canada

Job Overview

The Sr. Manager HCC Canada serves as the Healthcare Compliance Officer for Canada providing endtoend strategic and operational healthcare compliance leadership for DePuy Synthes Orthopedics business. This role partners closely with country leadership Legalbusinessand functional stakeholders and regional and global Compliance teams to promote ethical business conduct manage compliance risk and ensure adherence to applicable healthcare laws regulations and company policies.

This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the organizations reputation while enabling compliant sustainable growth within a complex and highly regulated healthcare environment in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Healthcare Compliance Officer for Canada.

  • Lead the development and execution of healthcare compliance strategies aligned with global and regional (Latam/Canada) priorities.

  • Identify assess and manage compliance risks related to commercial promotional professional education and other business and operational activities.

  • Provide proactive practical guidance to business leaders on healthcare compliance requirements and ethical decisionmaking.

  • Partner with crossfunctional stakeholders to embed effective compliance controls into business processes and gotomarket models.

  • Oversee compliance programs including training monitoring risk assessments and issue management activities across Canada.

  • Partner with Legal and other functions to support investigations audits and interactions with regulators or health authorities.

  • Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends in Canada toanticipateand address emerging compliance risks.

  • Prepare and present compliance risk assessments insights and recommendations to country regional and senior leadership.

  • Foster a strong culture of integrity accountability and speakup across the Canadian organization.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required:Bachelors degree in Law Business Compliance Finance Healthcare Administration ora relatedfield.

  • Preferred:Advanced degree or professional certification in Compliance Legal Risk or Ethicsrelated disciplines.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 810 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance legal risk management audit or related fields.

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance laws regulations and industry codes applicable in Canada.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing complex countrylevel compliance programs.

  • Proven ability to partner effectively with senior business leaders and crossfunctional stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills sound judgment and effective decisionmaking and problemsolving capabilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence without formal authority.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a matrixed organization.

Preferred:

  • Experience in medical devices pharmaceuticals or the broader life sciences industry.

  • Prior experience supporting Canadian compliance programs within a global organization.

  • Familiarity with compliance monitoring investigations remediation and audits.

  • Experienceoperatingin highly matrixed multicultural environments.

  • Strong change management and stakeholderinfluencing capabilities.

Other

  • Language:Fluency in English; Frenchproficiencypreferred.

  • Travel:Up to 2030% primarily within Canada with some regional travel.

  • Certifications:Compliance legal or ethicscertificationspreferred but not.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company operating as DePuy Synthes.
