Job description
Join Marqeta as the Engineering Lead for our Identity Platform, focusing on KYC and risk management. Enjoy a flexible work arrangement available throughout Ontario and British Columbia. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development of systems for identity verification and customer compliance. Your extensive experience in leading engineering teams and understanding complex compliance issues will help you ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout the KYC lifecycle. This hands-on position combines technical leadership with customer engagement. Key Responsibilities: • Drive the KYC lifecycle from account opening to risk monitoring • Implement AI solutions to streamline compliance processes • Mentor a high-performing engineering team for success • Manage escalation of compliance scenarios with regulators • Partner with various departments to shape platform strategy Requirements: • 8+ years in software engineering, 3+ years in leadership • Strong backend engineering skills (Java/Spring Boot, Python/Airflow) • Familiarity with AML/BSA regulations • Proven ability to drive operational excellence • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Leverage your expertise in engineering leadership and compliance at Marqeta. #J-18808-Ljbffr
