Intermediate Technology Architect Public Safety Radio Network (P25)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Technology Architect to support the modernization implementation and ongoing operation of Ontarios Public Safety Radio Network (PSRN) one of the largest mission-critical public safety communication networks in North America. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership architectural guidance and operational expertise for P25 radio communications infrastructure supporting emergency response organizations including police fire ambulance and other public safety agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop recommend implement and manage technical architectures for large-scale Public Safety Radio Networks (P25).
  
• Lead the design modernization maintenance and optimization of mission-critical radio communication systems.
  
• Provide architectural expertise for telecommunications infrastructure including radio systems IP networks telephony satellite communications and encryption technologies.
  
• Support network planning design reviews implementation activities and operational readiness initiatives.
  
• Administer and support Motorola P25 environments and associated management platforms.
  
• Collaborate with project managers business analysts vendors and stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
  
• Develop architecture deliverables technical specifications design documents implementation plans and operational procedures.
  
• Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve reliability security interoperability and operational efficiency.
  
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to operational and project teams.
  
• Participate in risk assessments issue resolution change management and governance activities.
  
• Prepare technical reports recommendations presentations and executive briefings.
  
• Ensure compliance with security standards enterprise architecture principles and operational best practices.
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience designing implementing or supporting P25 radio communication systems preferably within a Motorola environment.
  
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role managing and administering P25 radio networks.
  
• Extensive experience with Public Safety Radio Systems Land Mobile Radio Networks (LMRN) and mission-critical communications infrastructure.
