Survey Construction Project Manager for a permanent full-time opportunity in the
Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This role is ideal for an experienced construction professional with a strong background in construction surveying, infrastructure projects, and project management. In this position, you will oversee construction surveying and infrastructure projects from planning through completion, ensuring quality, efficiency, client satisfaction, and operational excellence. You will work closely with clients, field crews, contractors, and internal stakeholders while managing schedules, budgets, risks, and project deliverables.

Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with construction company site superintendents, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations and project objectives
- Define, manage, and execute project scopes of work while ensuring milestones are achieved
- Coordinate project schedules, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and costs to maximize efficiency and profitability
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards through effective quality planning, assurance, and control
- Lead and manage project teams, including field crews and technical personnel
- Direct field crews on construction surveying layouts, control networks, and measurement requirements
- Monitor field productivity, technical accuracy, and project performance
- Manage project communications and ensure all stakeholders remain informed throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while implementing solutions to maintain project progress
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and external service providers
- Resolve field discrepancies, construction conflicts, and technical challenges in a timely manner
- Support client satisfaction through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget
Qualifications- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
- Extensive experience in construction project management and construction surveying
- Strong background in heavy civil and infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, rail, watermain, and municipal construction
- Advanced knowledge of construction surveying, layout, control networks, and precision measurement techniques
- Proven experience directing multiple field crews and managing technical project execution
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management
- Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure construction environments
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities
- Knowledge of construction processes, municipal infrastructure, civil engineering, and utility projects
- Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and external vendors
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Professional designations such as PMP, P.Eng., or OLS are considered strong assets
- Experience with advanced surveying technologies, LiDAR, UAV photogrammetry, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or Trimble Business Center is considered an asset
- Experience with monitoring projects, deformation analysis, settlement monitoring, or vibration monitoring is considered an asset
