Our client, a well-established and highly respectedinsurance organization, is seeking an experienced Senior Director,Technology & Operations (Business Solutions) to play a criticalleadership role in shaping the future of the business.

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership & Business Transformation

• Partner with executiveleadership to align technology and operational initiatives with businessgoals.
  
• Drive enterprise-widetransformation initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, andbusiness performance.
  
• Identify opportunitiesto leverage emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence andMicrosoft Copilot, to enhance productivity and decision-making.
  
• Serve as a trustedadvisor to senior stakeholders, providing strategic recommendations ontechnology investments and operational improvements.
  
• Champion a culture ofinnovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  

Technology & Business Solutions

• Lead the delivery andongoing enhancement of business applications, digital platforms, websites,and operational systems.
  
• Oversee applicationdevelopment initiatives, integrations, and enhancements that supportbusiness growth and customer experience objectives.
  
• Manage API strategiesand third-party software integrations to ensure seamless connectivityacross systems.
  
• Provide oversight ofSharePoint and collaboration platforms to improve knowledge sharing andoperational efficiency.
  
• Evaluate emergingtechnologies and recommend solutions that create measurable businessvalue.
  
• Collaborate withinternal and external partners to strengthen cybersecurity controls andbest practices.
  
• Ensure technologysolutions meet regulatory, compliance, security, and risk managementrequirements.
  
• Support businesscontinuity, data protection, and governance initiatives across theorganization.
  

Project Management & Operational Excellence

• Lead strategic projectsand enterprise initiatives from concept through implementation.
  
• Oversee projectgovernance, prioritization, resource planning, budgeting, and execution.
  
• Drive continuousimprovement initiatives across departments and functional areas.
  
• Establish and promotebest practices in project management, change management, businessanalysis, and solution delivery.
  
• Manage relationshipswith external vendors, consultants, software providers, and strategicpartners.
  
• Lead contractnegotiations, service-level agreements, and vendor performance management.
  
• Ensure third-partypartners deliver value, innovation, security, and operational excellence.
  

Leadership, Coaching & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, coach, anddevelop a high-performing team of business analysts, project managers, andtechnology professionals.
  
• Conduct performancereviews, establish development plans, and support employee growth andsuccession planning.
  
• Foster a collaborative,open, and engaging environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
  
• Build strongpartnerships across functional areas to ensure alignment and successfulexecution of strategic initiatives.
  
• Act as a visible andapproachable leader who inspires trust, accountability, and results.
  

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

• University degree inBusiness, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relateddiscipline.
  
• 10+ years of progressiveleadership experience in technology, operations, business solutions,digital transformation, or project management.
  
• Experience leadingenterprise-wide initiatives within insurance, financial services, or otherhighly regulated industries.
  
• Strong understanding of:
  
• Business applicationsand software development
  
• Website and digitalplatform management
  
• APIs and third-partysystem integrations
  
• Microsoft SharePointand collaboration technologies
  
• Artificial Intelligencetools, including Microsoft Copilot and related productivity solutions
  
• Cybersecurityprinciples, governance, and risk management
  
• Demonstrated successleading cross-functional teams and complex organizational initiatives.
  
• Strong vendor managementand contract negotiation experience.
  
• Experience with Agile,Lean, Continuous Improvement, or related methodologies is considered anasset.
