We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary offices. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.
About The Team
The Robotic Process Automation team operates as a transversal Center of Excellence (CoE) serving the entire bank, reporting directly to the VP of Data Engineering. Our core mandate is to drive enterprise-wide efficiency, mitigate regulatory risk, and unlock critical data from complex or legacy systems where traditional integration methods are not possible. We are evolving from a reactive, service-oriented model into a highly structured, strategic engineering practice, working within an Agile framework tightly integrated with the bank's broader enterprise architecture.
About You
You are a senior software engineer who specializes in automation, not just building bots. You thrive in environments that require both technical mastery and strategic vision, see legacy systems as opportunities for transformation, and are comfortable building a robust, scalable engineering foundation in a team that is early in its maturity journey.
You execute requirements and challenge them, seeking API-first solutions, designing for resilience, SLAs, and long-term maintainability. You believe that RPA and low-code platforms require the same SDLC rigor, CI/CD discipline, and observability as any traditional software product. You are autonomous, driven to reduce technical debt, and eager to mentor others while setting the technical standard for an expanding enterprise practice.
