ES9002 Research Methods Fall 2026 3 hours/ 1 section less than 25 (usually 10 to 15)
This seminar course involves study and application of methods appropriate to research in the environmental sciences and environmental management studies. It focuses on the challenges of engaging in research in a multi-disciplinary environment where students examine the conventions of research in their study areas. The purpose is to enable students to identify valid questions open to research and to introduce the methods needed to answer the question in ways that are unambiguous and supportable.
Qualifications
Evidence may be requested for all categories.
Education
PhD. or equivalent in field related to target course. Will consider applicants in advanced stage of PhD.
Teaching Experience
Teaching target or similar course at TMU graduate program.
Practice field experience
Current (past 3 years) practice in related fields 6-10 (depends on quality of experience, including relevance to course, level of responsibility, relevant professional accreditation, etc.)
Past (more than 3) years ago) practice in a related field.
Currency
Academic publications (refereed) in the past 5 years, or other demonstrated professional currency (pracititioner writing, courses taken).
