Senior Salesforce Developer

We are seeking a highly accomplished and technical Senior Salesforce Developer for an enterprise-level contract opportunity based in Toronto. In this role, you will take on a premier engineering capacity within the enterprise CRM and cloud architecture streams, leading the design, custom development, and rollout of high-visibility inspection and case management platforms.

As a senior platform expert, you will bridge the gap between complex regulatory inspection workflows and scalable cloud architectures. Operating within a flexible hybrid work model, you will establish full-lifecycle CRM mechanisms, develop mobile field capabilities for onsite inspectors, and implement secure data-sharing frameworks. This role demands a well-rounded developer who can seamlessly integrate core transactional data with public-facing publishing platforms, enforce strict privacy standards, and deliver high-performance applications that enhance digital public health services.

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid or full-time onsite options available)

Assignment Type: 7 hours per day, 5 days per week

Contract Duration: 6 months (with a 6-month optional extension)

Responsibilities
Enterprise Application Engineering: Design, configure, develop, test, implement, and maintain complex Salesforce CRM applications to support specialized regulatory inspection and investigation workflows.

Lifecycle Customization: Implement tailored Salesforce customizations to handle full-lifecycle processes, including digital omni-channel intake, robust case management, and automated inspection pipelines.

Mobile Field Enablement: Architect and enable mobile application capabilities that allow field inspectors to seamlessly conduct onsite evaluations and submit data records in real time.

Platform Integration & Ingestion: Engineer API integrations and data provisioning layers to securely transmit system results to public-facing platforms for external publishing.

Automated Workflow Communication: Configure automated correspondence engines to dynamically generate letters, regulatory enforcement notices, and critical tracking documentation.

Data Migration & Validation: Direct complex data extraction, transforming, loading, and structural validation processes to guarantee complete data integrity across legacy and target systems.

Multi-Tier Quality Validation: Author comprehensive test plans, design multi-variable test cases, and execute unit, functional, integration, system, and regression testing across interconnected application layers.

Privacy & Security Alignment: Build and safeguard all technical solutions to comply fully with applicable access, privacy, and information security legislation.

Staff Coaching & Knowledge Transfer: Provide regular technical guidance, administrative coaching, and structured knowledge transfer sessions to internal staff regarding core platform functionality.

Defect Triage & Reporting: Isolate, track, and resolve system anomalies and configuration defects within large project lines, compiling clear quality metrics for management review.

Qualifications
Core Salesforce & Development Requirements
Developer Credentials: Active Salesforce Platform Developer and/or Platform App Builder certifications in good standing.

Advanced Coding & Customization: 5+ years of deep, hands-on experience developing with Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex classes, Visualforce, Aura components, Flows, and Apex Web Services/APIs.

Cloud Core Implementations: 5+ years of proven success implementing and optimization frameworks for Salesforce Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Analytics Cloud (Tableau CRM/Einstein Analytics).

Mobile App Engineering: 5+ years of practical experience building and deploying Salesforce native or hybrid mobile applications integrated with enterprise CRM backends.

Database & Data Integrity: Expert capability handling large data migrations, script validations, and query management using Microsoft Excel and data loading utilities.

Methodologies & Project Capabilities
Enterprise Delivery Tenure: 10+ years of progressive experience delivering hands-on technology initiatives, with a minimum of 5 years focused on managing or implementing cybersecurity and cloud software deployments inside large organizations.

Framework Fluidity: Comprehensive understanding of traditional and modern software release methods, utilizing Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, and DevOps tools.

Lifecycle Control Mastery: Solid understanding of technical project governance, covering system definitions, roadmap planning, release control management, and close-out documentation.

Leadership & Soft Skills
Stakeholder Articulation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating exceptional confidence when communicating technical specifications across business partners, leadership, and external vendors.

Analytical Problem Solving: Superior critical thinking, tactical planning, and code troubleshooting capabilities to handle peak workloads and isolate complex software errors.
