Job Description
TheVice-President,Business Developmentis an experienced professional whoisresponsible fordriving business growth through new client acquisition, strategic relationship development, and revenue generation.
This role focuses onidentifyingnew business opportunities, managing the end-to-end sales process, and collaborating with internal teams to deliverclient-focused solutions.
To be successful in this role, you must have strongability to rapidly accelerate business witha strong blend of analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Identifyand develop new business opportunities, generating sales aligned with establishedobjectivesand revenue targets through new client acquisition.
Seek out opportunities to help raise Leger product awareness, be a Leger Brand ambassador,grow existing clients and develop new client opportunities by attending industry events, outreach, etc.
Maintain and expand the scope of existing client relationships byidentifyingand capitalizing onnewbusiness opportunities
Support the research team in proposal and RFP processto ensure that they are tailored to client needs and respect the guidelinesrequired
Collaborate with senior leadership, research teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute growth strategies aligned with companyobjectivesto increase sales.
Provide overall sales support across designated sectors, contributing to team performance, client growth, and achievement of businessobjectives.
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and clientneedstoidentifyemerging opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
University (bachelor’sdegreein a business-related subject
At leastfive(5) years of experience in the market research or strategicconsulting withsector focus in CPG, Retail, or Financial Servicesin the Toronto Market,with U.S. exposure considered a strongasset
Atleastten (10) years of experienceas a Sales Professional
Proven ability to bring in business and significantly grow accounts
Knowledge of and experience with a CRM (HubSpot preferred)toown and manage sales pipeline activity
