Location : Brooks, AB. Brandt Group of Companies’ John Deere Agriculture dealership seeks an exceptional individual with a strong agriculture background to serve as Shop Foreman in the Service Department.

Key responsibilities include supervising the service department, ensuring quality standards and productivity, acting as the Service Manager in their absence, providing quotes and estimates, reviewing work orders with customers, directing closing of work orders, and collecting payment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists with assignment of jobs and work orders to employees based on skills.
• Assists appraisal of repair orders and may participate; reviews for accuracy and stays informed on progress.
• Acts as point-of-contact for technicians on repair inquiries and updates.
• Directs and assists diagnosis of machine problems.
• Inspects and repairs special tools; recommends new tooling.
• Advises Service Manager or Service Location Manager on customer complaints.
• Coordinates and schedules all in-house technician training.
• Assists in coordinating quarterly safety meetings.
• Supports Service Advisors by responding to customer technical questions.
• Demonstrates proper workplace processes and equipment operation.
• Maintains good housekeeping discipline for a clean, safe environment.
• Might fill Manager role in absence.
• Might arrange for re-conditioning of used equipment and set-up of new equipment.
• Might approve release of equipment for delivery to customers.
• Might assist in performance feedback and disciplinary recommendations.
• Bills approximately 50% of available time.
• Other duties as assigned.
