Position Summary This role is responsible for coordinating FTL and LTL shipments, negotiating carrier rates, tracking freight in real time, preparing documentation, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously are essential. After-hours and periodic weekend support will be required. Key Responsibilities Freight Coordination & Booking - Quote clients and negotiate competitive FTL and LTL rates with carriers - Book shipments online and over the phone - Coordinate domestic and international shipments from booking through delivery - Research and onboard new carriers across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico - Enter shipment details accurately into internal systems Shipment Tracking & Client Communication - Track shipments in real time and proactively identify delays or issues - Provide timely updates to customers regarding transportation schedules - Communicate clearly with carriers to fulfill shipment requirements - Maintain a strong client-service mindset Documentation & Compliance - Obtain and verify required documentation (BOLs, PODs, customs paperwork, invoices, etc.) - Prepare and maintain accurate logistics records - Understand documentation requirements for cross-border shipments - Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and internal procedures Issue Resolution & Collaboration - Resolve service failures, discrepancies, and claims efficiently - Collaborate with internal teams to meet service expectations - Support process improvements and workflow efficiency Qualifications Education Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field preferred.
