Job descriptionJob Title: Specifications Coordinator Location: North York, ON (Hybrid – minimum 2 days onsite) Schedule: 35 hours/week | Monday to Friday Duration: Up to 2-year contract with possible extension of 1 additional year Industry: Transit Infrastructure / Engineering / Construction We are currently recruiting for up to two (2) Specifications Coordinator contract opportunities within a large-scale Engineering, Construction & Expansion environment supporting major transit infrastructure and capital projects in the GTA. This role is ideal for candidates with experience coordinating construction documentation, technical specifications, project manuals, and bidding packages within engineering, architectural, construction, manufacturing, or infrastructure environments. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate and support the preparation of construction bidding and review documentation including Project Manuals, Technical Specifications, Addenda, and Contract Changes • Perform quality and compliance reviews of construction and bidding document submissions • Coordinate document production schedules, monitor workflow timelines, and maintain tracking logs and QA checklists • Support Senior Specifiers in assembling and formatting project manuals and contract documentation • Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, and consulting teams across multiple disciplines including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical • Review specifications and drawings for accuracy, numbering consistency, formatting, and completeness • Assist with Addenda and Contract Change documentation and ensure compliance with established standards and procedures • Attend project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, update project logs, and track action items Qualifications: • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience • Experience within engineering, construction, infrastructure, architectural, or manufacturing environments • Strong understanding of construction documentation, specifications, drawings, and bidding processes • Excellent organizational, proofreading, and document coordination skills • Advanced proficiency with MS Word and strong working knowledge of Excel, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Preferred Experience: • Exposure to Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) standards including MasterFormat®, SectionFormat®, and PageFormat® • Experience supporting transit, infrastructure, or large capital construction projects • Familiarity with multidisciplinary engineering documentation and contract administration processes Thank you for your interest in our position.
